About this event

The climate crisis is currently damaging the mental health of hundreds of millions of people around the world and is having a growing effect on the mental wellbeing of people across the UK. The Mental Health Foundation has partnered with Glasgow City Council to explore these issues during the week of COP-26.

This event will give you the opportunity to hear from experts on Mental Health and Climate Change from around the world, to share what is already known about the links between climate change and mental health.

You will also have the opportunity to share your views on climate change and mental health, to make suggestions for research and to discuss the actions needed to ensure a Just Transition.

Please do contact us at the first available chance if you have any additional requirements for the event and we will do our utmost to accommodate.

Speakers: Dr Gary Belkin (McSilver Institute, New York University); Professor Susan Clayton (College of Wooster, Ohio); Dr Panu Pihkala (University of Helsinki);Dr Michael Mikulewicz  (Glasgow Caledonian University); Cllr Susan Aitken (Glasgow City Council); Miss Emma Dullaghan (Leader's Unlocked).

We look forward to your participation.

Warm Regards,

The Mental Health Foundation
