  • The RNRMC is delighted to be working with Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and Kids to help support neurodiverse families. Kids would love you to join them for an information session to understand the support that is available to Naval families through the Nurturing Anchors project. They have sessions tailored for naval families and professionals who work with naval families. Shelly and Mellissa from Kids will be delivering four sessions on Tuesday the 7th of May. • "My chosen charity was RNRMC due to the fact I have been heavily supported throughout my RN career, whether it was playing sport and going on tours, social events or career seminars." Lt Lee Derbyshire RN put his name in the ballot for the London marathon last year for the first time having only ran as far as 10 miles before. He then started his training programme on 1 Jan 24. A 16-week intense programme allowed Lee to grow in confidence at running longer distances and meant that he finished the marathon in 3 hours, 45 mins! BZ to Lee and a huge thank you for choosing to fundraise for RNRMC. If you would like to learn more about how you can fundraise for us, visit the link here https://lnkd.in/eebE3wXW

  • April is Month of the Military Child and a designated time to celebrate and raise awareness of the unique experiences of children whose parents serve in the Armed Forces. We understand that Military children go through numerous challenges, and also sacrifice a lot, so we work with a variety of organisations that are devoted to providing support to the children of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary. Supporting our Naval community's mental health and wellbeing is of great importance to RNRMC- Last year, we spent £600,00 towards mental health and wellbeing projects. This is only possible through the fantastic donations we receive from our supporters. 13th-19th of May is mental health awareness week and we are asking our supporters to host a Stand Easy coffee morning/bake sale to raise money in support of our Naval community. • ‘My daughter loves her time away and especially the care and attention she got from the team. It allowed her to forget about the uncertainty with her dad’s ship programme and she is already talking about when she is old enough to come as a helper herself!’. This Easter, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity provided funding to enable 25 helpers from Portsmouth and Plymouth take 13 sponsored naval children to spend a week in Lourdes. HCPT is a charity that offers pilgrimage holidays for disabled and disadvantaged children. Click the link to find out more 👉 https://lnkd.in/eQVKz9Fh
